Katrina Streatfeild

Katrina brings almost 25 years of experience across the spectrum of child and adult assessment and intervention for trauma and mental health disorders, child & family work and supervision of psychology trainees and registrars.   


Her areas of interest include anxiety, adjustment, stress & burnout, trauma,  PTSD, Complex PTSD, child and parent work, women's mental health, complex Mental Health Disorders, EMDR and supervision and mentoring of provisional and registrar (Clinical and Counselling) Psychologists.


Katrina primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy , EMDR, Exposure Therapy, Family Therapies and Multi-systemic Therapy in her practice. 


Katrina has founded two regional psychology clinics and worked or consulted in NFP, corporate and government spaces.  She completed her Masters of Psychology at Monash University and  is currently completing her PhD (ADF Veteran Parenting in the context of PTSD, CPTSD and Moral Injury)  at the University of Newcastle, under scholarship of Australian Rotary Health and the RSL. 


Charlotte Martin

Charlotte completed her Masters of Professional Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland in 2015.  She is currently completing further study towards registration as a Clinical Psychologist. 


Charlotte has experience across a broad range of populations, including large organisations, community and private sectors. She has worked with serving and ex-serving ADF members and their families, NDIS participants, individuals under Mental Health Care Plans, Victims Assistance, Workcover, and other providers. 


She has experience from adolescence through to late adulthood, across individual, couple, and family interventions. Charlotte works with PTSD, depression, anxiety, pain management, adjustment issues, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, stress, mood disorders and personality disorders. 


Her primary  therapeutic frameworks include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,   Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. 


Charlotte is based in Queensland, after practicing in Townsville, Victoria and Brisbane during the last eight years.  

Kaitlyn Attreed

Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist Registrar

Kaitlyn is a General Psychologist, who completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at Bond

University. She is currently completing further study towards registration as a Clinical

Psychologist.


Kaitlyn has interest in helping those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those

who have concerns around sexuality and gender identity. Kaitlyn has also had a lot of

experience working with children and adolescents with learning and peer support, including

those who have ASD and ADHD.


Kaitlyn has had experience working with individuals who have historical or current trauma,

and personality difficulties, as well as life stressors, depression and anxiety. Her therapeutic

framework is based around Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural

Therapy and EMDR.


Kaitlin currently does not provide therapy to clients, and only completes assessments.


Kaitlyn’s approach is open and friendly, as well as non-judgemental.

Margaret Bailey

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Margaret has a breadth of experience in assessing and treating adults and young people who have mental health disorders including: Depression, Anxiety including OCD, Relationship problems and adjustment issues, Adolescents and Eating Disorders


Margaret is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with ANZAED with over 10 years experience with the treatment of eating disorders, including Anorexia, Nervosa, Bulimia, and Binge eating disorders.    


Margaret uses a range of evidenced based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a Strengths based approach including Motivational 

Interviewing, she is also a registered primary and secondary school teacher with experience and qualifications working with children and adolescents. 

Matthew Clarke

Provisional Psychologist

Matthew has been providing counselling and support services for many years.  He is currently completing practice requirements towards full registration as a Psychologist.  Matthew has worked with Streatfeild &Co Psychology since January 2021. 


Matthew has experience working in large and small scale age care centres in the private and community sectors, in the aviation industry helping workers with mental health concerns related to shift work, stress, anxiety and sleep disturbance, and, in the finance industry providing support for the mental health impacts of financial duress and mental health factors associated with money worries. 


Matthew has worked with a wide range of age groups and nationalities and has a passion for male mental health concerns and disorders, parenting skills, relationship counselling and trauma related issues ranging from early childhood through to recent traumatic events.


Matthew uses therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, and Resource Therapy.

 

Bridie McDougall

Telehealth Services


Bridie completed her Masters Degree in Professional Psychology at the Australian Catholic University in 2019. 

Over her professional career Bridie has worked with children, adults, and families in the private and public sector, including the NDIS.  Prior to becoming a psychologist, Bridie worked in the field of adult and paediatric sleep science in both public hospitals and private settings.


Bridie has a passion for sleep and chronic health concerns, family and parenting support, and general mental wellbeing. She uses evidence-based therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). 

 


 

Dr Catherine Kelly

Catherine completed her Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical) in 2012 and has since been working with children, young people, and their families navigating mental illness, childhood trauma, neurological differences (ASD, ADD, ADHD), and substance use.  


Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, disruptions to attachment, challenging behaviours across home and school settings, and child and family work. 


Catherine’s primary approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - with an emphasis on systemic interventions. Her focus is on working with children, young people, and their families to gain a robust understanding of what is important to them to inform intervention choices.   

 

Shianne Vuk

Shianne is a client-centred provisional psychologist who is working towards full registration as a psychologist. Shianne enjoys working collaboratively with children, adolescents and adults and strives to create a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic environment to support personal growth and wellbeing. 


Shianne adopts a flexible approach to counselling to facilitate each individual client’s needs. Shianne has a special interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.


Shianne has experience working with people with a variety of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidality/self harm, personality disorders and self-esteem issues. Shianne has experience in positive behaviour therapy and has an extensive background working with people with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. 

Brad Rooney

Bradley is a client-centred provisional psychologist who is working towards full registration as a psychologist. Bradley enjoys understanding the full life story of a person and believes that our child self drives our present self. Bradley enjoys working collaboratively with clients of all ages and from all backgrounds. 


Bradley adopts a flexible approach which encompasses individual client needs when conducting cognitive assessments. Bradley has a special interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy and EMDR.


Bradley has experience working with people with a variety of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidality/self harm, personality disorders and self-esteem issues. Sally O'Connor

Sally is a registered psychologist, who completed her Masters Degree in Professional Psychology at La Trobe University Bendigo in 2020 and has since been working with clients from various cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.


Sally has experience in supporting clients of all ages and life stages who have experienced trauma, severe life stressors, depression, anxiety, pain and physical challenges, and mental health related issues. She works from a person-centred, strengths-based approach and provides a safe and supportive therapeutic environment to empower her clients to gain insight into their behaviour to improve their mental health and wellbeing.


Sally tailors’ evidence-based treatments to the individuals need, with experience delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Schema Therapy.

Tony Wheeler

Currently completing Masters in Child Play Therapy at Deakin University

Family Therapist

Having over twenty years experience of working with children within the disability field having extensive experience of working with children and adults diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Intellectual disability (ID), Acquired Brain injuries (ABI) and comorbidity with a mental health issues.


Additionally Tony has worked with many more psychopathological issues within the disability field. Tony has been counselling since 2011 in a variety aspects of psychological wellbeing issues to the general public.

Tony’s work and study lead him to the youth justice system where he worked with some of the most challenging behaviours presented by children within the state of Victoria. Developing an interest in the field of Child Development, Trauma, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and many more presenting psychological issues by children within that system.  


Tony worked with carers and youth justice workers as a Therapeutic Practice Leader to assist the management of the children in protective care. It was during this phase of Tony’s development he conducted several types of assessments, relationship interventions and reflective practice sessions with staff, care teams and families.


Tony continued this work as a Therapeutic Specialist working with carers, families and care-teams in the residential care setting.  This work included keep children away from antisocial behaviour and towards prosocial activities and assisting parents and carers by conducting assessments, interventions and working with the children. Tony worked extensively with children presenting with Trauma symptomatology and associated issues, continuing for a number of years and became interested in Child Play Therapy and commenced training as a therapist.


More recently Tony has been a Clinician working with foster families to maintain and preserve the family structure. Tony continues and values his work with children, families and carers, whilst presenting courses on therapeutic practice and Trauma to various professional groups whilst continuing his own professional development through various Universities.’

Stephanie Hawes

Provisional Psychologist

Stephanie is a Provisional Psychologist currently in her 5th year of tertiary study. 


Between July and December 2022, she will be completing a placement with Streatfeild & Co Psychology and will be available for therapeutic services and counselling. 


As a provisional psychologist, she will practice under the supervision of a registered Clinical Psychologist at the clinic. 


Steph provides low-cost services at $80 per session. This is less than the standard gap fee that applies for Registered Psychologists.

Streatfeild & Co Psychology are proud to be a placement and training organisation for Masters degree students and Mental Health Course students completing their practical placements towards finalisation of their qualification.


Our organisation works with several universities and training providers providing placement and support services for our up and coming Psychologists and Mental Health workers.
It's our way of making a contribution to our community's future mental health care workforce.
